Hi guys! For the last post of the year, I decided to write a "post-mortem" of this year, here it goes.
The crazy year of 2013 was surprising for me. I've accomplished many things, yet I let a lot of things to desire. I acquired many skills, but most of them are not perfected. I started less projects, made much more, but the majority is not finished. Let's talk about this.

How To Generate Procedural Racetracks
Tracks generated by the algorithm presented here |
The amount of procedural games nowadays is very big. From Minecraft to Canabalt, the replayability that this form of random game gives is very appealing to a lot of players; And to developers too, that sometimes doesn't have enough time or skill to create levels good enough to keep players entertained for long time spans.

You Only Get One Nap ported to Android!
Yes! Now my entry to the 28th Ludum Dare works on android too!
I ported it by the night, it took around 1~2 hours, it wasn't hard, I had some gotchas when it came to getting "responsible" input, but I got rid of everything and now it is very stable :) .

Water ring toss(aka Aquaplay) prototype
Ok, tell me, have you EVER played a water ring toss game? Sure you had. Every child has played this terrific time waster. So you probably know the mechanics, right?
Push one button, the water will apply an impulse in the rings, then you just hope that it will hook around the stick.
Easy as that.
"If it is this easy, then why don't I do this?" And then I started working.
